A development executive with nearly 35 years of experience, Jay launched The Angeletti Group, LLC (TAG) in 2006. Jay is Co-Founder of The Nonprofit Search Group alongside Dennis Miller. Before doing so, Jay served Choate Rosemary Hall, Yale University School of Medicine, the University of Pennsylvania Health System, Drew University, and New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
Jay’s extensive client list includes many of the nation’s leading independent schools, universities, medical institutions, and nonprofits. He is a sought-after speaker and writer, and presents often for national nonprofit professional organizations, including Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), Association for Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), Association for Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and BoardSource. Jay serves on the Board of Directors of the LIM Fashion Education Foundation.
Immediately before launching TAG, Jay oversaw the highly successful $1 billion campaign for New York- Presbyterian—the first institution-wide effort since the merger of Columbia Presbyterian and New York Hospitals. During the campaign, annual philanthropic revenue increased from approximately $75 million to more than $200 million.
At Drew, Jay worked with University President and former New Jersey Governor Tom Kean to build its development and alumni/ae affairs program. He served as the architect for the University’s first comprehensive campaign ($85 million) and increased alumni/ae participation from 25% to 45% during this same time.
At Yale, as Senior Development Officer for the surgical and neurosciences, Jay coordinated the planning effort that launched the School of Medicine’s $285 million component of the $1.5 billion Yale campaign. At Penn, in addition to serving on a team of three who planned a $600 million health system campaign, Jay was responsible for the campaign’s first priority—a unique and bold $77 million initiative designed ultimately to establish Penn as the only tuition-free medical school.
Jay received his B.A. from Lake Forest College and studied public administration and nonprofit management at the University of Connecticut.
