Phil has worked in the nonprofit sector for 20 years and has been a member of The Angeletti Group (TAG) since its inception in 2006 and is leading The Nonprofit Search Group alongside Dennis Miller. His experience both on the nonprofit side of the desk and as counsel to countless nonprofits ensures that he has an eye for the right candidate for your organization.
As Managing Director and COO of The Angeletti Group (TAG), Phil oversees the blueprint for TAG’s daily operations. Phil has worked with an extensive list of leading nonprofits, independent schools, universities, and healthcare organizations. Projects have included executive management and searches, and campaign counsel as well as feasibility studies, development assessments, annual giving and direct response programs, and advancement services. Phil is also a Visiting Lecturer at the Center for Excellence: Leadership, Governance and Philanthropy at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he teaches the essentials of campaigns and major gift fundraising.
Prior to joining TAG, Phil was a member of the Gill St. Bernard’s School development staff as the Director of Major Gifts and the Annual Fund. He assisted with the creation and implementation of a 3-year, $10 million fundraising campaign to build a new Upper School facility and increase the endowment for need-based financial aid. Phil’s success at Gill included an increase in parent participation (from 61% to 72% in two years) as well as increases in alumni, faculty, and staff participation. Phil’s work at Gill also yielded increases in annual cash receipts from $1.5 million per year to $2 million in 2007 and more than $3 million in 2008.
At Drew University, Phil served as a member of the major gifts team in the Development and Alumni Relations Office during the Gateways To The Future Campaign, the first comprehensive campaign in Drew’s history. The campaign exceeded all expectations raising $85 million—$23 million more than the $62 million goal.
Phil graduated with a B.A. from Drew University in 2000. Although born in Summit, NJ, Phil spent 13 years in Geneva, Switzerland, where he attended the International School of Geneva.
